Indoor Soccer Registration Fall 2023

SFG Community Indoor Soccer  

 

What: Kids will learn fundamental soccer skills through simple drills and games followed by scrimmage
Who: Co-ed 5-8 years old
When: Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00 pm starting September 26 through to December 12th
Where: Forest Grove School

How much: $25 per child
Registration will take place from September 1st to September 8th on the following website: https://app.communibee.ca/#/register?community=Sutherland
Spots are limited and are provided on a first-come first-serve basis.

If you are interested in volunteering, we require a criminal record check with the vulnerable sector and NCCP: Understanding the Rule of Two.

I hope to expand this local offering but it is dependent on securing additional facility space and time.  I will be coaching this program personally.

 

Saskatoon Youth Soccer (coordinated through SFGCA)

 

What: 14 games at boarded facility, practices are hosted at the Coach’s option and will depend on availability of community facilities
Who: U5 Co-ed born 2019 or later, U7 born 2017-18, U9 born 2015-16
When: Sundays starting October 22 through to March 17
Where: Henk Ruys Sports Centre in Lawson Heights
How much: $175 per child based on minimum enrollment

If we do not have enough participants to field a team or do not have a certified volunteer coach by the time the season starts we will endeavour to assign your child to a neighboring community association first before providing you with a full refund at your option.
We require that each household purchase an annual community membership for $10 here https://app.communibee.ca/#/register?community=Sutherland if not already done so.  Fees can be remitted by e-transfer to secretary@sutherlandforestgrove.ca.

 

Zone Association Development League – Aurora (Aurora Soccer)

 

What: 14 games at boarded facility and 2 practices per week
Who: U7 born 2017-18, U9 born 2015-16
When: Sundays starting October 22 through to March 17
Where: Henk Ruys Sports Centre in Lawson Heights
How much: $420 – $480 plus 4 hours of volunteering or $100 deposit

Outdoor Soccer Registration 2023

Outdoor soccer registration is now open

 

What / When: 

Community Association Outdoor Soccer taking place May 1 – June 30, 2023
Mini FOS June 9 – 11 (entry deadline May 15) at Saskatoon Sports Centre Fields
Timbit Jamboree June 25 (deadline 3 days in advance of event) at Saskatoon Sports Centre Fields.

 

Age Divisions

 

SFG Owls Co-ed 5 and under, born 2018
$75 per child
Mondays or Tuesdays, with possibility of Fridays
SFG Eagles Girls 7 and under, born 2016-17
SFG Ravens Boys 7 and under, born 2016-17
$85 per child
Wednesdays or Thursdays, with possibility of Fridays
SFG Cardinals Girls 9 and under, born 2014-15
SFG Hawks Boys 9 and under, born 2014-15
$95 per child
Mondays or Tuesdays, with possibility of Fridays
Practices are held at a time and place at the discretion of the head coach.
One Community Membership ($10 per annum) is required per household and is eligible for reimbursement if existing membership can be evidenced.

If there are not enough players to field a team we will seek to accommodate by reaching out to neighboring community associations to place them with a team or provide a full refund prior to March 20, 2023.

Calling for Coaches

 

Without these people we cannot field a team.    We are actively looking for coaches and assistant coaches for the remaining divisions.  If you’re interested please contact our soccer coordinator, David Purdy. If a coach cannot be assigned by the registration deadline then we will seek to place players on the next available association or provide a full refund.

 

CHEP Healthy Food Market

“There will be a Healthy Food Market from 3-5 pm on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 at Sutherland School, with additional dates to follow. CHEP Good Food is collaborating with the school to help provide access and promote healthy foods to school families and community members in the Sutherland area. The weekly markets consist of fresh produce and a small number of dry goods through a local distributor, we also work with local growers as much as possible. Our mandate prioritizes affordability which has become increasingly important with rising food costs.”

  • Home Alone: Monday, January 16 at Sylvia Fedoruk School or Tuesday, March 28, 6:15-8:45 pm, $30
  • Learn to Skate (6-9yrs), time change to 12:00-12:30 pm or 12:30-1:00 pm
